VAS Spectra Radar V1

The VAS Spectra Radar V1 is a through-wall human detection radar engineered for stationary personal security. It detects people through standard American drywall and thin barriers — giving you situational awareness when you need it most.

Detection Range

• SP Mode (Static Presence): Up to 10–15 meters (32–49 ft) — detects stationary humans by identifying the unique way the human body phase-shifts EM waves
• PD Mode (Pulse Doppler): Up to 13–20 meters (42–65 ft) — detects any moving objects with greater sensitivity

Dual Detection Modes

• SP Mode — Best for detecting stationary targets; filters out non-human objects
• PD Mode — Best for detecting movement; higher sensitivity, picks up both human and inanimate moving objects

Ideal Use Case

Designed for stationary detection scenarios — for example, securing yourself in a room while monitoring the position of an intruder elsewhere in a structure. Provides general directional awareness rather than pinpoint accuracy with good distance measurement.

Important Limitations

• Cannot penetrate metal, brick, concrete, thick wood, or tile walls
• Must remain completely stationary during use — movement may cause false targets
• Allow 5–10 seconds after powering on (without moving the device) for the radar to calibrate and distinguish human from non-human targets
